CPTEK is the leader in servicing all industries that utilize slitters in their manufacturing processes.

We supply only the highest quality round blades and flat knives and provide unmatched sharpenning services for reconditioning the same. We also supply, rebuild and repair slitting equipment, rebuild winders, sheeters, etc., and trim collection equipment. We inspect slitting equipment and offer slitter training courses for operators and staff. We offer many programs for managing the slitting operations of our customers. Our programs can be all inclusive which entails the supply and reconditioning of all blades and knives; repair of all slitting equipment; training of all operators; weekly visits by a trained slitter expert; management of inventory; reporting of all activity; and all for a fixed monthly cost which is reviewed annually for adjustment up or down based on actual activity. With two locations on the Eastern Seaboard (Maine and South Carolina), we are able to provide fast, reliable service.

 

IMPROVING EFFICIENCY

 - We have designed, built, and delivered 26 new slitter units to fit an old offline Dusenbury winder.

 - We added another tail cutter holder to a customer on a separate machine. They are running holders on threemachines now.

 - We recently rebuilt 25 Jagenberg slitter units with timer valves replacing older poorly running technology. we also have new component parts running on the blade hub with excellent results.

 - The rebuild of another Beloit winder with 21 Tidland slitter units was completed in March last year. It also included new trim tables (flip tops), receivers, and eductors, blowers, and ducting to the pulper

 - We are rebuilding another older winder with a new expanding shaft and 30 split ring multi grooves in New England.

 - We just finished rebuilding 17 Valmet slitter carriages with all new components for one of our customers.

 

- We are doing an engineering study and air study at a mill to convert slitter units to Mario Cotta.

 - We have installed at one of our customers a dust control system on their winder and fill a 55 gallon drum weekly. Plans are to add another system this fall.

- We just designed, built, and installed a trim slitter system on coated paper at 4,000 fpm ahead of calendar stack pre coater.

- We just quoted an upgrade to an older trim vacuum system.

- We expect to rebuild a trim slitter system on the reel for one of our customers this summer.

- We expect to replace two trim systems on two machines in the same mill, in the same week, this fall. Includes new capture hoods, receivers, blowers, inducer/eductors, and ducting for 10 inches of trim per side at 7,000 fpm on 100# paper.
